You can test your speakers and microphone and adjust the volume before a meeting to find the best quality. You can suppress background noise with different settings from low to high.
You can also clamp down on any audio echo that pops up during a meeting. At the main screen, click your photo or profile icon and select Check for Updates. At the Settings screen, click the setting for Audio.
The first thing you may want to do is check your speaker and microphone. Make sure your speaker is set to the correct source and click the button to Test Speaker. The graph for the Output Level should then move along with the audio. If you hear the sound clearly, great. If no sound comes out, click the dropdown menu for Speakers and change it to a different source.

Modified 20 days ago. Viewed 2k times. However, I have each call very loud and I cannot control volume in any way: I have both Media volume and Call volume set to 0 mute? Zoom's in-app audio call's volume as well If I am correct then the good question is, why any of these two working?
Improve this question. Is it possible that you have an app running that provides a permanent transparent overlay on all apps that passes touches to the visible app but may be prevents Zoom app to correctly configure the volume keys as it is not the top-most app? Such possibility exists.
No volumeleel for each user? WOuld be lovely to have that in-the-app. Explanation missed the entire issue. I know how open my volume mixer and adjust volume. We have lots team meetings with participants constantly changing back and forth. We need the Zoom app to determine the volume of each participant and adjust to the same output volume before it hits my computer speakers and ears.
Everything is too soft until the host switches to another app. Then we get our eardrums blasted. My question: Does the host control volume? Is it something on their end? What do you mean by the host switching to another app? Could you clarify this?
